I recently read this article in NY Magazine and came across these wonderful sentences.

There is something about someone making a fantastic sandwich,” she says, “taking care to spread lots of mayo all the way to the edges. Making sure every bite has a bit of everything in it. There’s something special about that.”

Something about these words just struck and touched me, to the point that I’m still thinking about them a few days later. It’s funny because I first read those lines as “making someone a fantastic sandwich,” as in the amount of care you put into creating something for someone else.  But this idea is also good in itself – the pleasure of eating simple food made with love. That’s what I’m talkin’ about.

    Mayo is gross. Where are the longer posts about your adventures in cooking? Your insights into sandwiches are wonderful, but more cooking please!!
